The nice thing about these services is they let you know prior to paying if a full report is available.

A full report from RLookup would look like the one seen below.

Running a reverse cell phone report is very useful considering that there is no directory for the major cellular carriers such as Sprint, T-mobile, Verizon, and AT&T.

Our only disappointment is that this didn't work with Canadian numbers. I sure do. It was more than a decade ago, and I remember being so impressed! Unlike today, Caller ID was once an extremely reliable way to find out the owner of a phone number before picking up the phone, or when checking missed calls. In fact, it seemed to be very rare to receive phone calls that would display an accurate Caller ID!

Things have changed - with the widespread adoption of cellular technology, more phones than ever are incompatible with Caller ID. In fact, In my personal experience, caller ID no longer works for the majority of phone calls. It's not just cell phones that are causing the demise of CID. New telephone technologies such as VOIP, and even forwarding services like Grandcentral, all provide private unlisted numbers to their customers, just like the cell phone carriers.

Introduction

Welcome - this is the official blog of the Reverse Phone Lookup Web Directory. We will be exploring the world of reverse phone lookup services, and help you learn about what these services can do, how they differ, and which ones are the right fit for your needs.

Think of a reverse phone lookup as a service that works exactly opposite of phone book. Unlike a phone book which uses a name to locate a phone number, a reverse phone lookup service uses a phone number to lookup the name and address of an unknown caller.
